What is Living Hope?
Living Hope is Jesus Christ! The name Living Hope is from the Bible, 1 Peter 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” In the world we live in, Hope is often understood and described as wishful thinking. For e.g, you often hear people say “I hope I get the job, or I hope to pass my exam” etc. Having this kind of hope often leads to disappointment and failure. But as Christians, we have LIVING HOPE> grounded in Jesus Christ’s resurrection. .The hope has power and gives us strength. The more we fix our hope on Him, the more our hope grows! This gives us the confidence that what we are praying for will come to pass because God has promised it.
History of Living Hope TV
Lord gave Pastor Peter & Jemima Paul a vision to start a television program titled Zinda Umeed in the year 2010. Being a small Church with limited funding God provided the way and brought the vision to existence. The title Zinda Umeed in the Urdu language translates to Living Hope. The vision behind this program was to reach to the South Asian community within Canada in Urdu, Hindi & Punjabi. The program aired on Grace Television in Canada now known as Daystar Television Network Canada. The program continued till 2015.
In 2020, Lord extended the vision to start LIVING HOPE TV channel committed to producing and providing quality Christian media. The purpose is to share the message of Living Hope–Jesus Christ to all. The channel features sermons, worship, Christian movies, documentaries, interviews, life-changing testimonies, youth and children programs. The programs are aired in multi-languages including English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi for all ages.
